~5% valuation MAE

Built for teams shipping property workflows

Qualify loans, prepare client reports, enrich a CRM, or build a new proptech product on production-ready Australian property data. No long sales process, no enterprise contract to get started.

For mortgage brokers

Enterprise data tools start at $1,500/seat. SMB brokers get priced out.

Score on-market properties straight from your CRM (suburb risk, yield, value-vs-asking) without an enterprise contract.

For buyer's agents

50 manual lookups per week, hours of work per client report.

Pull sold comparables in one call for any property currently on the market. Generate client reports from your own template.

For proptech founders

Building a reliable property data layer is months of work and a permanent maintenance burden.

Use one API for property lookup, sold comparables, suburb stats, and batch workflows, then spend your time on the product.

Why developers choose PropRadar

The API is designed for fast evaluation and practical production use: simple auth, useful limits, clear docs, and data fields that map directly to real property decisions.

Start without procurement

Create a key, test real responses, and move to a paid plan only when the API is useful in your workflow.

Built for product teams

Stable IDs, predictable JSON, OpenAPI reference, clear rate-limit headers, and samples in curl, Python, and Node.

Commercially realistic

Plans scale from prototypes to production workloads, with transparent monthly credit allowances and no enterprise minimum.

A practical alternative to enterprise data contracts

PropRadar is built for teams that need Australian real estate data in a product, dashboard, CRM, calculator, or report without waiting weeks to validate the idea.

What's in the dataset

We track the properties that drive buying decisions: what's for sale right now and what's recently sold. Plus suburb-level statistics, demographics, and growth signals across every metro suburb in Australia.

Properties

Live + recently sold

Active listings and recent sale records, refreshed on a predictable cadence and normalised into one JSON shape.

We don't value every property in Australia, only the ones currently on the market or recently sold.

Suburbs

12,000+ covered

Medians, growth rates, days on market, vacancy, demographics, socioeconomic deciles, and market heat signals for every metro suburb.

Updated fortnightly. Use these even when you don't have a specific property.

Refresh

Daily

New listings appear within a day. Sold matches typically appear within a week of market reporting.

API responses are served from prepared data for fast, consistent reads.

All the endpoints you need

Frequently asked questions

What is the PropRadar Data API?

A REST API that returns Australian property data. Live listings, recent sold records, valuations, rental yields, and suburb statistics across 12,000+ suburbs. Self-serve pricing starts free.

What happens if I run out of credits?

On any paid plan you can buy a credit pack from the developer dashboard instead of waiting for your allowance to reset. Packs are priced for your plan: Hobby 2,500 credits for $37 or 10,000 credits for $119; Starter and Builder 5,000 credits for $55 or 20,000 credits for $190; Pro 10,000 credits for $85 or 40,000 credits for $280; Growth 25,000 credits for $150 or 100,000 credits for $500; Scale 50,000 credits for $225 or 200,000 credits for $750. Pack credits are used only once your monthly allowance for the billing period runs out, and expire 3 months after purchase. Packs cost more per credit than your plan, so if you need extra credits every month, moving up a plan is better value. On the free tier, upgrade to Hobby.

How much does the PropRadar Data API cost?

Free tier: 50 credits/month, identity and attributes only; prices and valuations need Hobby. Most reads cost 1 credit and a full property record 2, so Hobby's 5,000 credits cover about 2,500 property lookups. Hobby: $49/month for 5,000 credits, unlocking valuations, rents, asking and sold prices, and suburb medians. Starter: $120/month for 16,000 credits plus bulk lookup, the recently modified feed, and suburb livability signals. API Builder: $249/month, the same 16,000 credits as Starter, licensed for commercial use by a small buyer's-agency or real-estate business. Pro: $450/month for 80,000 credits, commercial use for any size business, plus investment analysis, market cycle, price history and market heat history endpoints, supply/demand and rent trends, auction premium, and the valuation agreement signal. Growth: $850/month for 200,000 credits plus the regions macro endpoints, with 2 Team Accounts seats included. Scale: $1,499/month for 500,000 credits, with 5 Team Accounts seats included. On Builder plans and above, add teammate logins (Team Accounts) for $29/seat/month, buy as many as you need and assign or reassign them to anyone on your team. Agency attribution is a separate add-on at $99/month on any paid plan: property and sold responses then name the agency that marketed the listing, with a stable reference that survives rebrands. Add-ons are prorated for the rest of the current billing period and renew with the plan.

Can I use the API in a client-facing business product?

It depends on the plan and who you are. Pro, Growth, and Scale cover commercial use broadly, in internal tools and authenticated client workflows, including buyer's-agent CRMs, broker or lender workflows, and investor portals for identified clients. API Builder ($249/month) covers the same commercial use at Starter's 16,000-credit allowance, but only for a small buyer's-agency or real-estate business running its own internal tool, not a larger organisation. Free, Hobby, and Starter stay non-commercial at any volume. All four commercial plans stay self-serve up to 25,000 people a month seeing PropRadar-derived data through what you build; past that, it needs a distribution licence rather than a bigger subscription. A public property-data portal, redistributable data feed or bulk dataset needs that licence at any scale; contact us to talk through either.

What property data does the API return?

Address, attributes (beds, baths, parking, type), current listing block if on-market (asking price, days on market), valuation with confidence level, rental estimate and yield, last sale price + date, and data quality flags. All in JSON over HTTPS.

Do you cover every property in Australia?

We cover properties currently on the market and recently sold. Suburb-level statistics span 12,000+ Australian metro suburbs. We don't hold valuations for every dwelling in Australia, only those that have transacted recently.

Why isn't my address found in the API?

If /v1/properties/search returns found:false (or /v1/properties/{id} returns 404 not_found), the most common reason is that the property is off-market. PropRadar values properties currently on the market or with a recent sold record on file; off-market properties are not in the dataset. Double-check the spelling and postcode, and if the property has actually transacted recently and you still can't find it, contact support at /contact and we will investigate.

How do I get an API key?

Sign up at propradar.com.au/developers, head to the dashboard, and create a key. Free tier requires no credit card. Keys start with pr_live_.

Do you have an MCP server for AI assistants?

Yes. PropRadar runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://propradar.com.au/mcp, so AI assistants like Claude can query Australian property data directly as tools: address lookup, property records, suburb statistics, sold comparables, and bulk lookups. It uses your existing pr_live_ API key and the same plan tiers as the REST API (for example, property coordinates require the Pro plan). Add the endpoint URL to your MCP client and pass the key as an X-API-Key or Authorization: Bearer header. Clients that only support OAuth, such as ChatGPT's MCP apps, can connect with OAuth instead (experimental).

How fresh is the data?

Listings refresh daily. Sold records typically appear within a week of the sale being reported. Suburb statistics update fortnightly.
